I have always wanted to be able to look up callsigns on the move via WAP and
finally it is available thanks to some new community based websites to
monitor fuel prices around Australia.
<http://www.brisbanefuel.com/> <http://www.canberrafuel.com/>
<http://www.melbournefuel.com/> <http://www.sydnyefuel.com/>
Each of these sites now have the Callsign WAP Lookup page available on them.
Being written in xHTML they can not only be viewed on your mobile device but
also be viewed on a standard computer and is much easier to use than the
ACMA's Lookup pages.

Just looked up two callsigns on melbournefuel.com
Both returned results for the wrong service.
More work required I think...

hehehehe that worked, retrieved info from ACME OK! Pity it got the wrong

work, Simon.

What sort of mega-nerd would want to do this?
Better off keeping your phone free to call the ambulance when your glock
jams and you take a whole pack of panadols.

I will look into it, but it queries the ACMA database on your behalf in
real time and presents the information for you in a format that your
mobile phone can easily display for you.

You don't have to be mad to post on Usenet,
but it certainly helps.

Negatory good budgie.
A /real/ mega-nerd would write in assembly and reprogramme their mobile so
that they could /then/ read & post to Usenet.

G'day Simon, the WAP site certainly is a lot quicker and easier than
navigating the ACMA website, thanks for the info,
