Just received the following SMS on my CDMA phone-
"Please call 0754768786. This message was sent by Telstra GCDY."
What's GCDY? I presume GC is Gold Coast, but after that I'm lost...
I wonder if they're trying to upsell me away from the CDMA network...
or perhaps I've just forgotten to pay my bill.

Re: "This message was sent by Telstra GCDY"
BTW my CDMA phone is on a $10/mo plan and it's never used. Seriously, I
haven't made a call for at least 6 months. I'd like to see them offer
something comparable on their 3G network.

It's been delivered at least 4 times now; once at 2:45am. WTF is this?

Dunno about the GDCY bizzo
What SMSC did the SMS appear to originate from?

GDCY could almost be mistaken for a dealer premise code but I doubt if
it is.
if it's important, they'll text again.

It's been arriving every few hours since I first posted. It's not
bothering me yet, if it does then I'll just call and find out why
they're sending this to me.
A few years ago I regularly had a security company calling me at
ungodly hours because their idiot operators transposed digits. Mine
wasn't a particularly difficult sequence or pattern so I wonder how
many other people copped it too. It took a long time to get it sorted
out because my number wasn't actually on their lists, so they claimed
they could do nothing.

Telstra-owned Telstra stores dont tend to have dealer premise codes starting
with G, tend to be F, A, 2, C, etc
And no one in the public would understand the association

Re: "This message was sent by Telstra GCDY"
It's not the Gold Coast.
0754 is from the Sunshine Coast.
0754768786 is connected to the Buderim exchange (source: Broadband Choice).

"Why is my CPF says $15" - that sentence is not English, thus you are a
retard. A ****tard, to be precise
