Two nights ago I left the phone in the car. Next morning we went to
Melbourne. The phone was dead. Unfortunately I didn't have a car charger
for it. I ended up getting a "travel pack" from a Telstra shop in town.
It consists of this leather case which I won't use as it looks wanky,
clipped to a belt, a spare battery, car charger and a handsfree. Cost
$37.
I slotted the new battery in. Full charge. Good. I swapped the batteries
over later on to charge the original.
Now, the original battery was fully charged the day before. I'm
wondering if Lithium-Ion batteries are susceptible to cold temps. It was
around zero that night.
Normally the battery can last up to a week before I need to put it on
the charger. A few days less if it's used a fair bit. So, overall I'm
happy with its endurance. But the other night sort of worried me with
respect to either the battery's condition or whether it can handle cold
conditions.
