Question from a noob:
A friend has the N95 which has disastrous GPS abilities.
3 are beginning to market the 6110 now with built in voice navigation.
Has anyone seen this GPS in action? Because if it the same as the N95, it
shouldnt be marketed as GPS but rather a flimsy map that incorporates main
roads only!
And would it be free, ie free to use, or it is some sort of pay as you go
setup?
cheers.

Someone on a mailing list that I subscribe to bought one. Says that the
basic maps are free but the voice navigation is a pay as you go thing. ie.
the licence is time based.
Dunno what it costs. Have asking him. waiting to hear back.
I personally wouldn't bother. Get a proper navigator that has all these
features built in and voice navigation that is a part of the paid for,
never expire maps/package.

Hello, I have just got a 6110 on Vodafone UK and the nav software is
Route 66 and not the same as the N95. A UK map is included and no
charges for navigation. Campired to a TomTom One V2 initial lock is a
little slower but recalculation is VERY quick. Map display is on par
with TomTom but voice guidance not quite as good. If the TomTom was a
10 out of 10 the 61110 would be 8.5. Not too bad at all and MUCH
better than some other systems I have seen.
