When you cancel diversions, Telstra automagically enforce their own upon
you so callers get diverted to the text message answering service. ie,
they get told that a text message is being sent to me with their number.
Anyone have a way of disabling it?
If I wanted something like that, I'd use Voicemail. The biggest issue I
have is not only is it forced upon you, but a rediculously short 15
second delay on "divert no answer" is also forced upon you.
I've been dealing with Telstra support trying to get it removed and I'd
probably have more luck hammering a nail into a conrete wall with my
forehead. That would quite likely be more enjoyable too.

Call front of house 125111 and ask them to remove Default Call
Forward. It's easier and more effective than just whinging here!
You can also change the call forward timer yourself, or get front of
house (125111) to change that for you too.
You can go upto 30 sec in 5 sec increments. Some handsets set the
timer with the menu. If not, then send **61*101*30# to divert to 101
after 30 seconds. RTFM.
Cheers.

You could also try "##002# send" and "##004# send"

Re: Telstra's annoying text message answering service
actually they need to disable the Call Notification Service (CNS)
Get them to add the product code: CNSDIS2

He already did ****wit, and got the run-around by brain-dead lunatics at
125111.

www.tio.com.au is your answer, you've exhausted all reasonable avenues of
complaint within Telstra without success. Let the TIO do the running around
for you instead of banging your head against a brick wall with 125111
loonies.

I did. Four times. Read my post.

Not so standard when I can't cancel it. Cancel the diversion and whaddya
know - theirs stays in there and can't be cancelled.

It is that hard.

Already tried that (four times), as stated in my post.

Nope, apparently it's not easier or more effective.

I know how to change a divert and put a delay in. I'm not diverting
though. The Default Call Forward is enforced upon me after cancelling my
own diverts. Yes, I suppose I could manually set the same divert with my
own delay, but I wanted the service gone completely. That was just one
of the reasons that added to it.

No need. Contact number 5 was an email that clearly laid out what I was
after. After another few "It's done!" and "No, it's not..." emails, I
finally go someone who managed to remove it for me.

Divert your Telstra mobile to 0418707316. This will do the trick. There's
no call charge - just a Telstra RVA.

No, it was clearly his attitude. I hope they terminated the call on him

His attitude is the same as yours, it appears

Sure. And he will have his CNS disabled in fourteen days now, instead of 2
minutes
You really are a wanker, goons.

The diversion time, not the diversion number or method

Thats exactly what is designed.
CNS applies when no other diversions are set.
You want CNS disabled, you ask for it

Nope, I've never had any trouble.
And I would have told you what product code to ask for, except, you were
being a dick, so baby gets nothing.
So you had to wait even longer, due to your attitude.
