Transferring numbers from a Nokia to a Sony Ericsson

Is this possible?

I have just picked up a Sony Ericsson K800i, I want to transfer the numbers
from my Nokia into this phone. I was wondering if there is any chance the
databases from the different PC suites are able to talk to each other.
Probably unlikely but I thought i'd ask.

cheers

Probably if they support a common app on the PC. Just
load it into that from the nokia and from that into the Sony.

Can both phones use the same SIM card? If so, then transfer your phone book off
the phone's main memory onto the SIM. Then simply transfer the SIM over to the
new phone and copy the data into the new phone's main memory.

Assuming of course, that each phone allows the user to do this.

This is what I did with my Palm Treo when I bought it to replace the Samsung
A501. It also had the option of me exporting the 501's phonebook and other
details to an Outlook archive. I then imported that archive into Outlook which
just happens to "activesync" with the Palm which I did after tidying it up a
bit.

Does your Nokia have infrared or bluetooth. If so you should be able to
send your contacts directly from your Nokia phone to the Ericsson using
infrared or bluetooth. Look for a send all contacts option. Ditto for any
calendar entries, notes or tasks.

Once upon a time I transferred my calendar, notes and tasks from my old
Nokia to a newer Ericsson via infrared. Worked very well.
