If whoever is calling is "private number" and they bother to leave a message
we'll pick up if they're legit callers. It doesn't happen that much anyway (that
call centres actually leave messages).
What ****s me are those that do call, then place YOU on hold saying that their
operators are all busy....
That's what ended up prompting us to ignore the private callers.
As for emergency services one would hope that if they got the answering machine
that they'd leave a message.
Of course if it's that bad then the police generally come around. It's already
happened once...

Dunno, havent tried that myself.

Sure, but generally you'd prefer the quicker phone call. And the hospital
presumably doenst bother to visit in person if the message doesnt get thru.

I've mostly got phone calls from the cops. Not always tho.

6 mth quarantine period applies, and most of the fax spammers will take your

Obvious lie, you've clearly wanked yourself blind.
The most recent time they called me was to give me
a reference number for a crime I reported to them.
The time before that, they rang me to tell me that a couple of stupid
kids had been roaming the neighbourhood with a wheelbarrow, quite
literally, one night and loading it from people's cars, to ask me to come
down to the copshop and pickup my stuff they had got from my car.

Same reason they were stupid enough to 'think' that they
would get away with wheeling a wheelbarrow around the
streets filling it from every car they could get into.
Those two aint exactly what you might call rocket scientist material.
The problem is between their ears, trivially measurably.
