It is technically possible, but, trust me,
VERY DIFFICULT!
You would need to get a personnel at Bell to unlock your phone, because it is a
CDMA phone it can
ONLY be unlocked by Bell.
The chances of Bell unlocking the phone for you are slim to none, I have been trying to get an LG 535 unlocked by Telus for a few months, but to no prevail.
I personally have been told to try and bribe personnel, but they also would not accept my offer.
If you wish to persist and try to unlock the phone, I suggest going to either a
Futureshop or
Wireless Wave and
TRY and get them to unlock it, but in most cases, they will refuse.
If you manage to get the phone unlocked,
CDMA dealers (Bell, Telus) will
NOT activate the phone, so you would, once again, need to go to a Futureshop or Wireless Wave and get them to activate it, and tell them that it is indeed unlocked.
I believe the unlock code is referred to as the MSL, so that is the number you would need to ask them for.

PLEASE NOTE : You would only be allowed to get your
CDMA phone activated at (in Canada) Bell or Telus. Outside of Canada, it would only work on a
CDMA network!
