When we signed my son on student plan with *Bell Mobility, we thought the plan was simple, easy to understand, we could control the costs. However, the phone options are continually be updated. We NO longer have control of what is being charged to us.
My 16 year old son used his mobile browser feature, which he thought was free, to play a game on the internet through PC. His plan has unlimited browser usage for games etc. Unfortunately, for my approximately* 18* hours of internet play, we received a bill of approximately*$6,000 + GST*. If he played this same game using our PC internet service, it would have been* free.*
Secondly, because their price structure is in* MB used, one can never tell what one is paying* for this internet service*.* On one 35 ( estimate) minute game session, our bill was $1900 - over $1900 per Hour
Thirdly, despite having the Fuel 20 unlimited browser option, we received a $312 charge for Roamer data usage. We are confused with this charge.
Bell Mobility has explained our son went outside their network when he played his game. They agreed to reduce our charges by to approximately $1700. ( $*550 usage fee plus an extra $100 per month for 12 months on the new plan), if we signed up on a new plan.
We have asked for Bell to set up a credit limit on our accountso we are protected from future surprises*, but they said NO.
We would like to hear from others if they find the Bell information on the Browser option clear, and if they have difficulty is assessing the MB before they play games. Secondly, if other Cell Operators would set up credit limits to help customers manage their

Re: Billing Problem
First off, Bell is correct, they cannot setup a predetermined "limit" that an account can get up to before suspending it. It is not possible to do with the current billing system that wireless carriers have.
Ok, so on to the mobile browser option. Yes, if the phone is used outside Bell Mobility's native network, you would be billed. I would double check to make sure that unlimited mobile browser indeed doesn't cover usage while roaming on another carrier's network. I honestly do not know, with us JUST getting 1X service last week.
Here is my question. Was your son hooking the phone up to the computer to play the game ? If so, then he is not using his "mobile browser", rather he is using "1X data", which is not the same thing.
