I bought a Treo 600 1.5 years ago. Small businees plan. I purchased the extended warranty.
I have had the phone serviced twice in the first year, once for broken volume buttons and once for defective screen.
I now have an issue as the speaker has stopped working and the sync cable port is cracked.
Previously I would report malfunction, second phone would be shipped to me and I would return the broken one by Purolator.
Now, post 1 year anniversary, Bell Mobility tells me I must deal with Bell World Rep directly. Bell World Rep tells me I have to send Treo away to god knows where for repairs, I can have some crappy Audiovox Flip phone while I wait!!! They day no Treo loaners available.
I bought a Treo because I NEED a Treo.... anyone have any idea how I can avoid having to ship my beloved Treo off and be without it for weeks?
Thanks!

Re: Broken Treo 600
As far as I know, BDI (Bell Distribution Inc.) does not service data devices. It straight exchanged for a factory refurb. I would call back and ask the same question again, perhaps the person you were speaking with misinterpreted or was uninformed.

Re: Broken Treo 600
I actually found out a few weeks later that the extended warranty plan changed the next week, and I was able to pull a switch and excahnge my 600 for a brand new one (at least it appeared to be new) the way I had previously.
Bell making progress!
