Transfering Phones

i'm planning to get a bell PDA phone off ebay

currently im on just a regular LG-pm325 phone

i know i just go to bell to transfer the plan from phone to phone

but its is possible to transfer my plan from my regular phone to a PDA???

also i have unlimited browsing on my phone. but just on the regular cdma network..... i think thats what its called (not the ev-do one)

will i still be able to get internet on my PDA phone?? just slower because im not on ev-do?

thanks everyone..... im totally newb at cellphones >.<

Re: Transfering Phones

You would just go to a Bell store, or Bell retailer and do an ESN change. Beware there will be a charge for this. Likely from Bell and from the retailer. Mobile Browser is a feature that is only meant for a phone, NOT for a PDA. The feature is not compatible with PDA's so when you do the ESN change it will be removed. Even if you do not add a separate data package you will still be able to connect to the internet, but it will really cost you. If you want to use the IE feature, you should add a data package to your plan. This varies from $25 to $100+ per month depending on how much surfing and emailing you are planning to do. The speed you will connect with is totally dependent on the device you are connecting, and since you didn't give us a model # or make, it is hard to judge.

Most newbie's would probably just be happy using it as a pda and phone and forgetting browsing and email. You may want to consider this. Most people who do use the data features are folks who can really make it pay, ie; real estate agents, costly equipment buyers/sellers, etc. These bills can typically average $200 per month. If this sounds like a lot, I'd really recommend staying away from the data portion.

Hope this helps.

Re: Transfering Phones

Pick the krzr, and yes. The krzr comes with motorola phone tools and usb cable. That allows you to transfer all sorts of good stuff onto and from your phone, right down to my personal favorite; create your own ringtone and upload! Besides, lot more memory capacity, and touch sensitive external mp3 controls, kinda like the chocolate
