Hi,
I just subscribed to a Bell corporate plan. It doesn't provide any long distance minutes and they are charged at $0.30/min. My phone is a 416 and is local to Toronto I believe.
I just received my first bill and it has a $0.60 charge to long distance. I look at the details and it's 2 calls to a 905 number in Unionville. Now, after reading the long distance FAQ, it seems like I was unjustly charged for that. But when I called to ask about it, they said it was considered long distance since it was outside my local area. But according to the FAQ, I made those calls in Unionville (those calls were made when I was outside my gf's office and I was calling to tell her to come out). I was not notified that I had to dial 1 or that it was a long distance call. So really it shouldn't have been charged to me.
So who's right here? Me or Bell? If I'm right, how come the Billing rep said it's still considered long distance?
Thanks.
