Hey, I've been with bell for 5 years now, and for the last 4.6 years I've wanted to switch. Unfortunately my friend and my little sister hopped on my unlimited everything plan for all they could afford, so I am tightly locked in.

I just recently got off a fight will the children "bell" and they "want thier phone back!" I am very serious they are mailing me a box to put "their" phone in and give it back to them. Now I got to go out and buy a new phone, however I just looked at the line up:

HTC Touch Pro - Wow how many windows does this close while doing anything, not to mention 6 hr battery life.

BlackBerry Storm - Of course bell's version gets neutered from the good GPS and no Wifi... Where as Rogers HAS Wifi and FREE GPS...

Is there anything decent coming up? Does anyone know cause Bell is the shottyest company I've ever delt with. And if you not on Bell... DO NOT SWITCH! Switching to bell is like getting a Model Hot Chick and making her wear a Garbage bag over herself all day... its Pointless, and you realize the next day your ****ing yourself over

    Dude,

I completely agree with you on Bell. Unfortunately for us Canadians we will continue to get screwed on wireless service mainly because Bell has monopoly over CDMA and Rogers over GSM. I do have the BB Storm and it is a wonderful piece of hardware. Unlike the Samsung *hitstinct that I used to have and had Bell take it back, I actually have the premier smartphone. The 9530 had its problems on initial release but unlike most other phones, Bell has no choice but to support the Storm thanks to RIM. That being said I have just upgraded my 9530 and it has fixed almost all of the issues that plagued it's initial release. Also, while the child (Bell) does offer a paid GPS feature, Blackberry has its own full GPS program that came with my phone and is absolutely free. Unlike some 'other' phones, the 9530 is an actual GPS not simply an assisted one using cell towers. WiFi is a bone of contention among 9530 users but from what I have been hearing it was sacrificed in favour of having both the GSM and CDMA antennas. The Rogers Storm 9520 is said to have Wifi but dosen't offer CDMA compatibility which can be an issue depending on where you travel.

At the end of the day I managed to get my phone unlocked so I can really use any network I want and I suggest you do the same. Dont worry about the Wifi, when we upgrade to HSPA+ it will be moot.

    Cheers
