    Hi there;

    My friend lost is phone, its from bell.
    Whoever the new person that finds it, will they be able to use it? I'm not too sure about bell, i'm with rogers myself. I know that it's hard to program stuff in and everything because bell and telus program their SIM cards into the phone. The new owner, will he be able to check if there's a plan and take over it? etc)
    any help would be gladly appreciated
    thanks

    See More: Anyway to check if there's a current contract?

    Hi,

    If your friend reported the phone stolen, the ESN will be put into a lost&stolen database and nobody will be able to activate this phone, unless the original owner calls in and can be fully authenticated / confirmed identity.
