New Bell Systems?

So... someone who was at a trade show got information that Bell is coming out with a new system that will be much faster than the 3G and also a change to GSM.
anyone hear anything about these items?
I'm looking to upgrade a couple of phones but i want to wait for the new system (if there is one)

I haven't heard anything about it yet but it sounds great. I think that most existing phones will be able to connect to GSM.
