Short codes

I keep getting charges for short codes on my cell even though I havent signed up for any of these kind of services. What the heck is going on?

normally you don't have to sign up for it, just use it. Did you send any text messages for services like ringtones download or votes for a reality show.. This is normally what causes this. If you're not using SMS at all, you can normally make them blocked so that it wont happen again. Check you sent items in the SMS menu of you phone. Otherwise, call your provider and ask them the number of the recipients for those SMS, that might give you a clue.
