Posting this in Bell's section because Bell is my provider, and I don't plan on changing that, so I might as well search here to be sure the results I receive are Bell results.

I currently own an LG Rumor2, however the QWERTY keyboard has stopped working properly, and my mother is demanding she buy me a new phone for my birthday. Any normal person would be thrilled, but most normal people enjoy the technology of today's cellular phones -- personally, I don't. I have an intense dislike for touch screens. I am short-tempered and feel that having one of those will simply result in my throwing it across the room. Not to mention I'm very clumsy and drop my phone on a regular basis, and I know how hardy some of those are (i.e. not). .__. I have many a friend with hugeass cracks across their screens.

Furthermore, I dislike Blackberries. While I like the ability to browse the Internet, I really really really dislike their UI. It just pisses me off so much. I find it scattered and just...weird. Plus it's kind of pointless for me to have; I wouldn't use 99% of the features it offers outside of like...Internet and texting. I also love full keyboards, but again, I really hate Blackberries.

I also would prefer to have a non-3G phone -- there's no 3G towers in my area, so I would pretty much never have service lol. My other problem with them is the plans -- 3G phones, apart from Blackberries (already covered that I don't like these...at all), usually only offer free social networking, whereas I need free internet. I don't use popular social networks -- I go on Facebook about once a week and I go on Twitter about once a month. I don't need free social networking when I won't use it -- I need free INTERNET. Which I have on my current plan, but because most phones are 3G/4G now, I won't have that anymore when I change if I change to a 3G/4G phone. :C

I checked Bell's website, and cannot say that I liked any of the phones there.

    Help?

I would rather have a phone I actually enjoy using than to settle for something I won't like. I know I sound like such a spoiled brat, but honestly that's it. I just really want something that I will...well, WANT. When I got my current phone, i didn't really want a new phone, but if I had to have picked, I would have picked that one anyways. I did like it. I don't like any of the ones now. I don't want to settle.

Go to your carriers store, website, Walmart, Best Buy, Radio Shack, or shopping mall Kiosk and chat with a rep there.

It sounds like from everything you've said that you're just not interested in upgrading to newer cellular technology. I will say that I have an LG Optimus Quantum which, though fairly bulky, has a nice and easy to navigate UI with a fold out keypad as well. That said, you don't seem interested in touch UI at all, which makes suggesting a smartphone a dubious proposition. Also, not wanting 3G technology does stymie things a bit, though you may find coverage has improved in your area recently.

All of the above into consideration, you could always upgrade to a nice new CDMA device (those words sound wrong together). Samsung has a nice set of phones with fold out keypads, I believe the Entro is one. I personally wouldn't wish a CDMA phone on my worst enemy, but if that's what you want, who am I to judge?

Also, in regards to free internet - that will never happen, I'm afraid. Social networking plans exist because of their relatively low usage in terms of network traffick, but unlimited internet browsing or data plans will likely never come into existence again - usage habits are just too high, and with them the cost of data.

Hope some of this was helpful. If you can manage a reply I'd be happy to do a look up of some of the best CDMA smart phones to see what might suit your needs.
