can it work with boost

Technically, yes. Boost uses Nextel's network and the 8350i is a Nextel/iDen device. I suppose it's a question of whether Boost sells the same devices as Nextel or will activate the same devices. I have never used Nextel or a prepaid service, but I know that Nextel (and I assume Boost) uses SIM cards, so it might just be a matter of switching SIM cards from one device to another. Still, you might lose certain Blackberry features, though, because for Blackberry devices to work as designed you need a Blackberry plan. Only voice and text might work. I hope that helps.

well, i just got off the phone with the people from boost, and they told me that the blackberry's will burn out a boost sim card.

as unreal as this may sound, the boost sim card's manual, doesnt say anything about supporting a blackberry

Some of it is probably BS, particularly the "burn out a Boost SIM card" idea. I'm not even sure what that means. It is, however, possible that Boost doesn't support Blackberry devices. I suppose the rep could have just told you that. As I said earlier, Blackberry devices are very particular in that some providers require a Blackberry data plan and the device certainly won't work as designed if you don't have a Blackberry data plan. I am not familiar with Boost and their policies or even prepaid services in general, but maybe they have no way to provision the devices properly so that you could use it. Beats me, but maybe this is why I have never tried Boost or prepaid.

i have a 8350i and it barely works but it hasnt been flashed for boost..and im not sure what all it intales

i can recieve phone calls and direct connects...but have troubles receiving calls but i also updated the software on the phone and thats when i started being only able to recieve calls

To everybody that's having trouble getn the bb to work on boost there's an easy solution.....first off u don't need to update the phones software itz already updated....second all u need to do is add the correct service books so calling boost or anyother company is a waste of time....third I've posted if u wanna get it workn pm me and ill show u how but since only few ppl listen there's workn wit no problem...fourth if u can't pm me go to my thread I started leave me yo email and ill tell u how to get it workn...fifth if u updated yo software try to get it bak to the original software and hit me up and ill show u wat to do......sixth if ppl want to charge u for getn it to work u can pay them but I'm doin it for FREE cuz I got my done for FREE just by following directions....so there u have it so for everybody that reads this shouldn't have anymore questions on to do it or if it works just pm me and as soon as I respond ull have it workn in less than 10 minutes

Hey Tank

I am having a problem with my phone going crazy. I get a red SOS on the desktop. I have a i465 Clutch phone and I put the SIM in an 8350i. Worked great for a few days and then the red SOS. I did a master radio reset and then I reinstalled the service books but my phone is still going crazy. Do you have any ideas?

Hey I had the same problem when I was messing wit my settings so wat I did was reinstall my original service books to get it bak to factory settings....hopefully u made a backup of your original sb if so reinstall them then re-add the mms sb when installing the sb to get mms working make sure u FOLLOW the directions to the T....if it stil don't work hit me backup and we'll try sumn else

i just got a 8350i, i was using a i880 i just swtiched the boost sim from one phone to the other. The first day i recieved a few text messages,, and i was able to make out going calls. Now its the 2nd day and i can recieve calls but, i cant make out going calls or recieve texts. i would also like to be able to browse the web and setup email if possible... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Hi, I Just got my 8350i, and I can't make calls for some werid reason a + and the number come up and I know that + is for text's but I Don't Know it just wouldn't dial out. And I love to know how I could unlock it for Boost. Do You Think You could help me?

8350i will work for Boost.

it just needs to be flashed. everything will work except Blackberry Messenger. Youll still get unlimited talk, text, web and walkie talkie for the flat $50 rate...

so it can work for boost
