Yes you can. Your best bet is to buy one off of ebay with the tools included and is actually very simple to swap out the trackball. and it is relatively inexpensive.

look on amazon.com, they have like packs of new colored tracballs, the tool you need plus a new silver surround for it. most of the ones also come with a silicone case for you phone too, and all at like 9$!

yes you can get the ball off of ebay but just check his feeback first because i must have bought a few bad blue ones because they never really worked right and just went back to the standard ball... good luck
