So far my research didn't show me enough to make a decision, so i'll wait for the release on the 21st and get a hands on look.
I did talk to √erizon, and it will take a 29.95 package to work the STORM. I have 4 cell phones under my name, and one is ready for upgrade, i may go for it.
I do like with little i read about the STORM, i seen a few photos and it looks good.
ha ha ha... yes, and how effective would he and his team be without cell phones.
Does anyone know about the STORM'S lock switch, i'm concern about how the lock for the touch screen is engage or release. i hope its a manuel slide lock instead of the DARE'S touch buttons.
i have heard many great things about the storm. i personaly am not so sure. from experience the first thing you do when you get the new phone is update the firmware software. nine out of ten times there is an update for a phone before it is even released. the virtual keyboard is better than the iphone keyboard for one major reason it goes sideways when messaging. i have niether the iphone or the storm but i work at a best buy mobile and use the phones very often and the iphone keyboard is its major downfall. i have not used the storm yet. but when i do i will let you know.
The STROM will increase the monthly bill, certain requirements/plans are needed to support the operation of the phone. I hate... and love learning a new phone, i just got comfortable with my DARE, and now i will have to start from scratch.. again.
But going through the process of mastering a new phone, especially a smart phone, keeps the excitement in owning a phone, and learning the tricks and short cuts to its operation keeps your interest every-time you pull your cell phone out of your pocket, once that excitement goes and you master your cell phone, it becomes just a cell phone.
I still don't know if i'll upgrade, i won't decide until i see the STORM in my hand, and pick the sales person's brain comparing it to my DARE.
I'm in the exact same boat. Want one, but not sure if I will like the clicking process. Waiting to see it in person, although all of the reviews I have read never mention anything about it being annoying, only "innovative." Here's hoping that RIM does what it usually does, innovate and do it right.
Thanks for posting the video.. It looks awesome and makes me want to get a new blackberry now
