Storm Unlocking Problem

Greetings,

My brother in law just bought a BB Storm locally. It will be used internationally.

I've been working with him in trying to get it unlocked but just having issues. I cannot seem to find where to enter the *#06# to get the IMEI number. I entered it in the phone application but that did not work. Where are you supposed to enter that code? I have never used a blackberry so it might have to be instuctions for dummies or something

Also, I've tried entering the MEPD code but no menu comes up.

Might there be something wrong with the Storm? It is a Verizon version.

To get the IMEI, you can goto Option > Status

I don't think *#06# works on this phone

To see the Lock Status, you goto Option > Advance Options > SIM Card

Click on SHOW KEYBOARD, and type: mepd

I've tried that code about 15 times or so and it just kept dialing out.

The status is where i've been getting the imei. I did know where to go to enter the mepd but it just didn't work. Finally figured out that the "P" button must be pressed twice *doh!* to get the "P" to enter. After that then smoot sailing :*
