By now every has figured out what Apps are battery killers.
The Android Mail is a big one.
So lets get rid of it...
Import and forward emails from your old email account into Gmail

Consolidate emails:
log in to Gmail account; Select inbox view
Select ->settings icon
Select ->settings
Select ->Accounts & imports
Select ->Import mail & contacts button
enter info
Select ->start import
To import beyond 30 days:
Select ->Add POP3 Email
enter info
Select ->Add account

To import Yahoo:
Change Yahoo to asia region
Select ->fwd yahoo mail to gmail

Remove account from Android Mail App:
Open Mail App ->uncheck/ delete account
Drag Mail App from Home screen to trash bin
Long press Home screen, select App (Gmail)

I used these settings on my HTC EVO 4G with my Comcast account- no problem!
Before: I was using the Mail App for Comcast and Gmail App for Gmail.
After: I use Gmail App to get Comcast & Gmail.
