Rant, Rave, and Blahing on my service's

Well, I haven't done a blog in a while anywhere, and I have been on this site a while, so I guess it might be time for me to input some blogging while I sit here at work, board in between 911 calls of dumb people asking why there water bill's are so high, people asking for the non-emergency number, all kinds of idiot's.

Well, enough about my job, lets get on with what I want to rant on about. I have been recently thinking alot about going to a prepaid account. I must say I am tired of paying so much a month. I don't pay much, compared to others, but I have 3 phones, with T-Mobile and pay ~160/month for 1 G1 with "unlimited" data plan that includes 400 texts messages (not available anymore), and my faves 1000. Plus 400 text on 1 of the other phones, and of course Family allowances (nephew has 1). My Fiance had 1 of the phones, but she wanted a new phone and a 3G Data card so she went and got Sprint (T-Mob didnt have there 3G USB Stuck then) and she pays about 140 (Samsun instinct with 400/mins plus everything date, plus the data card plan) and to me thats waaay to much. We are going to cancel Sprint (I hope) when it runs out because I prefer T-Mobile, but who knows because Sprint's cotract run's out in 2011, where my last T-Mo runs out in 2010. Just so much drama.... anyways...

I saw Tracphone has a new wireless option, Straigtalk, (only available at Walmart right now) they have 3 phones, from like 50-100 bucks each, then the plans are 30/month for 1000 mins and 1000 text or 45/month for unlimited text and talk, and they piggy back off Verizon (per wikipedia.org). Then, for me anyways, there is Metro PCS, and Boost around here is pretty good. I just figure out weather or not I really want to continue paying so much for something so minute. I could get home phone service for 24.95/month with VOIP, I have Comcast Broadband at home, and yet I think I need to have a phone that act's like a Laptop damn near. I travel, litterly, 10 minutes to get to work, which is unheard of in my area, and I have very little restrictions on the internet sites I can use (of course the usual, but we can't go on Facebook or Myspace, they think its gossping which is against our Policies) so why in the world would I need to keep internet so I can have it in my whole 4.3 mile trip work? In case I am stuck at a light for 5 minutes to take up time I can't keep occupied on the radio with? For a long time I did believe I needed to have this, not to mention I had to stay with my Mother in Law, which was unservicable for Comcast, and refused to get internet and wouldn't let us either, so I did need it there, but do I really need to keep it now? Maybe if I went on Vacation and needed to keep up with something, or maybe for E-Mail's, but I don't have to always keep up with stuff, I would rather carry a PSP in my Fiance's purse and play with that when she makes me go shopping or something boring with her like the doctor, she hates me going back with her so I sit in the waiting room like a little kid, but other than that I dont need a phone to keep my occupied. GPS is great, and having the internet in my pocket comes in handy, but does anyone see the need to keep this? I would love to hear some opinions, and point of views on this, including your stories. Lemme know guys, and gals, what you all think and what you all do.

Edit- Forgot to mention, one thing swaying me back towards T-Mobile is the new Blackberry just announced, 9700 with 3G (never had a BB before)
