Motorola is launching a DROID branded RAZR on Verizon’s network. Motorola I bringing back it old name in hopes that it can stir up some excitement over its newest phone. When I first seen the original RAZR in my hands years ago my first thoughts where “so what’s so special about it”? The truth is the original RAZR was just like today’s iPhone; it was thin, slick, didn’t have much you couldn’t get any ware else but mostly used as a status symbol.

That was then. Today the new RAZR may actually be an impressive smart phone. The point of the original RAZR was to be really thin. Today’s RAZR may focus on quality and power. The photos posted on VZBuzz.com show a familiar design with the angled corners, and a shiny sleek chrome frame.

The phone specs include a 4.3” qHD supper AMOLED screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, “HD” front facing camera, 8MP 1080p video recording rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and LTE.

The question is will RAZR receive the same excitement it did in the past? How well will it compete with the iPhone?
