motorola problem phone

i currently use a motorola i335. this cell phone is one of the greatest pieces of crap ever made . I have numerous occasions of missed important calls, poor reception and calls not being recieved because of a feature called transmitters off where the phone does nothing. how do you turn the transmitters on. at my wits end with this phone.
