LG Env - problems with Charging mechanism

Posted 11-12-2008 at 03:29 PM by manduh

To all of you who have had or are having problems with your ENV (VX9900) charging mechanism I want to share that I'm not resting with their complacency about this problem phone - Verizon Wireless (VW) reps continue to make us feel as if we are the problem when I'm hearing from a lot of you that, the phone is the problem. We've had to replace ours 3x now and they want us to send the bad phone back to find out if we caused the problem and if so charge us for the replacement phone. Well what do you...

nAlertMe via aikonlabs.com

nAlertMe is an application by a brilliant French S60 software developer Samir!

nAlertMe is an application using a S60 phones accellerometer (make sure your phone has one before downloading!). When activated, it is basically an alarm that goes off if the phone is moved and the correct sequence code is not completed.

See a video of it in action.

If you don't want to buy a new phone just to get the bluetooth working in your Toyota Prias and you are using a Palm 650 Treo cell phone, here is what you can do to sync them:

1- Turn on the bluetooth on your phone.
2- On the prias, go to the bluetooth settings and set the password to 0000.
3- Begin the process on the car to connect to devices.
4- on the Palm, go into bluetooth again and begin the handsfree device wizzard.
5- You will see the Prias show...

N96 Quickie 1 - 2 sets of media buttons

Posted 10-29-2008 at 01:56 PM by xj911 (xj's blog)
Updated 10-29-2008 at 01:58 PM by xj911

So I noticed today, the N96 has 2 sets of media buttons. (play/stop, rewind and fast forward)

At first I thought this was redundant...but now as a big listener of music and podcasts I can see where this is convenient. I'm digging the kickstand on the back, makes watching those video podcasts that much easier!

Keep checking up for more quickies!

N96 First Impresssions....

Posted 10-28-2008 at 12:25 PM by xj911 (xj's blog)

When I get a new phone I like to do a first take, to see how my experience changes over the course of using the phone.

-seems wider than an N95, but not huge
-not digging the front menu buttons. small and flat against the phone.
-the d-pad feels a little weird, but in a good way.
-love the look and feel, even though I question the functionality.
-love the stand built into the outer rim of the camera...very cool.
-I like the screen size.
