Symbian and Android to Combine?

According to the oracle-like superbrains at J. Gold Associates, Google's Android OS and Nokia's Symbian will "combine to provide a single open source OS," sometime in the very near future... say, three to six months... Wow...this would be great for Symbian and the Android platform.
I'm excited to see Symbian going open source, especially here in North America where Symbian phones are a rare commodity.
What are your thoughts?
