I recently purchased an i205 for a friend, and WAS going to surprise her. Anyways,as im setting up the phone,it didnt boot up.
I'm not sure why it happens as the phone is brand new, with sim and everything. Heres what happens,
I press power,it says i205,then starts the T9 then the Boost Logo.
After that, the screen goes black and the lights turn off.
Then it repeats it over and over until I had to forcibly turn it off.
I took it back and sons of B****es said it works fine..
I said,"How can it work if it doesnt even turn on?" and well, bottom line,im stuck with a broken phone for now.
You guys have any ideas what this could be,bad programming, bad sim,???
Thanks in advance.

Is the sim inserted correctly? This sounds to me like it's not recognizing the sim. Could be a bad sim, too. When you took it back, did they show you that it worked correctly? Have them look at it in front of you and show you they can make it work.

Anyways,I tried some other sims from other falcon phones, and none of them worked correctly either. I've narrowed it down to bad sim contacts,or bad phne in general. Thanks for the input, i'll update.
