Need Boost Text Messaging Help

Just got a new Boost account. When sending text messages, the only ones that receive them are Sprint/Nextel and Boost customers... When receiving, the only ones that go to the Inbox are Sprint/Nextel and Boost. Everyone else goes to SMS... Have been on the phone with Boost CS several times - no help. Can anyone help me get this straightened out?

are you using a boost sim in a nextel phone?

I think your getting riped off.

I think there is a problem in the network or you got ripped off.

Thanks to all... Maybe the phone is defective or something... I'll keep trying - but I'm not sure how much more of their "HOLD" music I can take.....

What boost model did the sim card come from and what nextel model phone are you using?

it came from a boost mobile starter kit and i'm using the nextel i860

I seriously think your getting ripped off, too.

UGHH im going through the same thing... they told me it might take 24 hours to work... and if your phone has been on since you got it that might be an issue too...

im gonna call again soon

i called they said theres some sorta outage and to call back tonight for an update

yes, i have this same problem too i think!
like i got a pay-as-you-go phone for xmas
i wanna use it for texting,but the texting is just weird!
its a boost mobile i425 phone and im using the sim card the phone came with when i got it

well here is the problem:
whenever i receive a text, it goes to my SMS folder
and all i can do in my SMS folder is read the text
it doesnt even show the number the text came from
and i cant even reply to the text
my only soft key options are "delete" and "back"
on the other hand, whhen i receive a text annd it goes in my inbox,
i have the option to reply, and the senders information is also noted

so here is the question:
how can i get the text to go to my inbox instead of my SMS folder
so that i can reply and see who actually sennt me the text

Took my phone 3 days to be normal. CS said this is normal for newly activated phones.

Can anyone confirm that this issue really does go away in 3 days? I've been using mine for 1 days and the problem remains, its getting very annoying and I'd like to know for sure that its temporary.
