Slow text "downloading" and sending / Text reply feature

Why do my text replies show the recent texts?
I don't like this, and neither do my contacts that I text. If I say hey to someone, and they say hi, and I reply to their hi, and say what's up? I will see what's up? ------- hi.

I want to shut off this feature. I have boost mobile, motorola i776.

I called boost customer service and their clueless.

Also, when I read a text, it says "downloading" and takes a bit of time, even if I have full signal and the message is only a few characters long. Sending could also be a bit faster as well.

I have the same problem. I used to have sprint. I don't really use my cell that often, I use it here and there for a few minutes but when I do use it alot, I use it to talk to my BF and when i Had sprint (he has sprint too) we had mobile to mobile. I discovered with boost its cheaper for me and i can still have mobile to mobile with him, i got the $1/day chat plan, I've had it for about 6 months, the only issue is with the text, the same problem as you, i called boost yesterday about the text about how it takes for ever to open, he said it was just my phone....and it shouldnt take that long....he told me there was nothing he could do, i would have to call motorola to update my software..?? what can you expect its a prepaid phone
