I just got off the phone with BOOST, and guess what? The CDMA section is ALSO offering atotally unlimited plan for $50! Why didnt we hear about it? Because its for EXSISTING CUSTOMERS only! It started in March, and was a result of the cdma customers RAISING HELL with boost over the IDEN $50 plans, and from what the sales rep told me, many said they would CANCEL! So boost brought out the UNLIMITED plan for CDMA customers also!

If you wanna switch, call 1-877-855-6673 and tell them you want the NEW UNLTD cdma plan for $50 (previously $70 + tax!)

I am DUMPING my iden phone, the service is getting WORSE, it was good at first, but since the new plan rolled out, where I live its HORRIBLE NOW ("try again message after hanging up in middle of call, tons of dropped calls, low call quality, etc.)

I picked up a KRZR for $20 on Craigslist. They signal stregnth is a LOT BETTER in the same places it was WEAK on the iden network.

I'll let you know if its better oncdma, but it should be 10xbetter considering its running on SPRINTS CDMA network instread of nextels IDEN network.

PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD OF THIS INFORMATION WAS HELPFUL, AGAIN BOOST IS NOT PUBLICISING THIS NEW DEAL FOR THE CURRENT CDMA CUSTOMERS!

Can you buy a phone and activate it, then the next day call in and request the $50 unltd plan?

Re: For those with CDMA UNLTD phones

    No and wrong information........

Just got off the phone with Boost and here is the truth, Yes they have the new $50 plan, BUT it's different than then the iden one.

The iden phone $50 plan is a flat fee with no taxes......

THe cdma phone plan is $50 but you have to pay surcharges and taxes which will boost it up to to about $57.00+

The one benefit is though that now you can have Nation Wide free roaming which was not available before.........

    This is the truth

Re: For those with CDMA UNLTD phones

The information given to me was by a SUPERVISOR at the CDMA division.
She said you CAN CALL IN THE NEXT DAY AND REQUEST THE $50 PLAN if you are a NEW CUSTOMER....

And it IS $50, its just $50 with TAXES. Which I am gladly willing to pay, because the IDEN service here is TOTAL GARBAGE since they announced the new deal.

I own a CDMA and IDen boost mobile phone so I know 100% what I am talking about.

The $50 plan with iden carrier is a flat fee, the $50 plan with CDMA you pay taxes which can range from $7-$10 on where you live.....

So NO the IDEN and CDMA $50 plans are not the same.

Honestly I've had my CDMA phone since June of last year and at that time we all ready had the $50 plan...... Boost then started charging more but I have had the $50 plan for a LONG time, so NO this isn't anything new.

After taxes I pay about $58, on my IDen phone I pay $50.....

ANd last but not least if you bought your CDMA phone after June you can switch to this $50+ tax plan, but if you are a new customer boost will not offer you this new plan as they no longer sell Cdma phones.

    peace

Re: For those with CDMA UNLTD phones

IDEN phone was turned off yesterday. I had $10 balance in my account.
Added funds to cover the next month of service on CDMA network, presto iden is off, cdma is on. NO ACTIVIATION FEE for my cdmaphone ,and now I am on the UNLIMITED TALK,TEXT, AND WEB PLAN for $50 + tax. Internet is 100x faster!

    Very happy so far.

Re: For those with CDMA UNLTD phones

Alright, well I may sound like a complete Noob asking this question, and I kinda am =P but anyways.

From what I am reading above, I can get a Boost cellphone with the unld service, then buy an unlocked CDMA phone (Sprint, I am assuming) then get it switched over to Boost Unlimited? Or do I have to have a Sprint account, and then switch it to Boost? I am so confused, but I am really interested in this!!! Can someone help a person with their head stuck in other places out.. Thanks!!

If your curious about bringing a cdma phone to Boost's CDMA side you'll have to call Boost Mobiles CDMA side and see if the phone is compatable.

Or you can try and search for a Boost Mobile CDMA cell phone. Their not cheap, around $100, but they would work better than other cdma phones from other carriers.

you can activate a blackberry i83... whatever the number is. the nextel blackberry with the walkie talkie.

just pop in your boost mobile sim card into any nextel phone and it will work, you might just have to fix some settings to get everything to work.

And then you go howardforums.com and go to the boost mobile section there are workarounds there to get everything working on the blackberry.

Just before the internet has horrible speeds lol
