Re: Have HTC-Touch Pro w/Sprint, want to switch to Boost Mobile
heres wat u need to do to get sprint phones on boost....DO NOT CALL BOOST TO DO ESN IT WILL COME UP NON BOOST PHONE AND THEY WILL NOT DO IT (TRIED B4)...start of by getn a boostmobile CDMA PHONE to get services started(i used w385 phone) ONCE u get services started go to sprint.com and create a username and password and where it ask for your number put your number in........next THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT....create ANOTHER usename and password USING SAME NUMBER....it will get an error sayn another user has same number but ignor it....now using THE SECOND USERNAME u created log into sprint.com and scroll all the way to the bottom and click on activate new phone...enter phone esn that u want to use and follow diredtions....once its done activating DONT DO MANUAL SET UP TURN OF NEW PHONE AND TURN BAK ON....THEN GO TO UPDATE PROFILE..ONCE ITS FINISH EVERYTHING WILL WORK..IE...TXT.WEB PHONE CALLS....sprint tv will work 4 like 24hrs then after that it wont work anymore and i dont kno y......
The list of phones currently known and confirmed to work on Boost CDMA:
a. the three "original" Boost CDMA phones - C290, W385, Krazr1
b. the following Sprint-branded phones may be ported-in:

* Blackberry 8830 World Edition
* Blackberry Tour
HTC

Samsung
* Samsung Intrepid (3G)
* Samsung Exclaim 550 (3G)
* Samsung Highnote (3G)
* Samsung Rant (3G)

Re: Have HTC-Touch Pro w/Sprint, want to switch to Boost Mobile
From the sounds of it You good people may be able to help me. Yesterday i activated an HTC TOUCH PRO on Boost Mobile (USING THE STEPS ABOVE.. THANK YOU YOU'RE WONDERFUL). Everything is successfully functioning, except for outgoing MMS. The Picturemail is asking for a password. I am under the impression that this is happening b/c i did the auto update when activating the phone. When i go to Settings and view the settings for the phone at the top the previous owner's phone number is still showing. I'm thinking i should have entered the unlock code and edited everything manually after the auto activation???
Can someone please shed some light on how i can get outgoing mms messages to work -OR- how to bypass the password.
Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking i might have get an unlock code and edit the MSID???? (how i'm going to get an unlock code - i don't know... Its not like i can call boost customer service, right?)
look forward to hearing from you...

Re: Have HTC-Touch Pro w/Sprint, want to switch to Boost Mobile
HTC TOUCH PRO fully functional on BOOST MOBILE.
ESN Swap working GREAT for picturemail function.
Web got cut off on Sunday Morning. I took a risk and called sprint tech services, and after a few tweeks here and there, web got turned back on!
Thanks for all your help.
PS i read somewhere that it may be best to call Boost or Sprint on a Sunday... I officially Agree!
