Straight talk uses the Verizon network, I have personaly done a 90 day test with $30 plan , my results - 5 star
You can get this service at Welcome To Straight Talk or use the search to find a walmart near you that carries it!
Wal-Mart and TracFone are rolling out a new, no-contract calling plan that costs $30 and provides customers with 1000 minutes, 1000 texts and 30MB of data per month. The plan is called Straight Talk. For heavier users, the Straight Talk Unlimited plan offers unlimited minutes, texts and data for $45 per month. The two companies have already conducted pilots of the new plan and are in the middle of rolling the Straight Talk plans out to all Wal-Mart stores nationwide.Last edited by nvguy; 10-17-2009 at 06:35 PM. Re: Best Prepaid Phone for me?
Interesting,
Having been checking this out myself, already with Verizon, I wanted to stay with same network for obvious reasons, but when I looked at Straight Talk, they offer six phones, from basic LG 200 and LG 100C for $29.99 to a decent Motorola RAZR-V3a and Samsung R51C, so not bad, but I am waiting for them to offer Android which is now offered through Verizon, so time will tell.
