Im new to the forum, thanks for all the help in advance. I bought a motorola i880 off ebay used. I thought I could use it for boost. When I called boost to port my # they said the IMEI # on the phone I880 was taken by sprint and I had to have them release it. I called sprint and they said the previous owner would have to call and have them release it. The ebay member I bought it from sells many phones and did not respond to my email. Do I have to buy another phone? What are my options?

Wow bummer, try calling Sprint again, explain how you got the phone and maybe you'll get a rep that's willing to help you....good luck.

you cant do anything until the ESN/IMEI gets released by sprint.
plead with someone on sprint, and pray you get someone whos willing to help you out.
