I have been receiving txt from Boost saying they will be shutting off the iden network in my area and that I need to update to a CDMA phone. I, my employees and neighborhood farmers live by PTT. I see no phones on Boost's site w/PTT, though they are available on Sprint phones. Will Boost be offering them? Can a Sprint PTT phone be made to work on Boost.

    Thank you

Welcome to CellPhoneForums.net! If you'd like, you can post an introduction here: New Member Introductions - Cell Phone Forums

You can purchase a Sprint phone with Push to Talk, and it will go over the CDMA network. Boost Mobile might come out with a Push to Talk phone in the future, but at this time you'd need to purchase a Sprint phone. You can also use an Android application for Push to Talk. They should be available on Google Play.

Thank you very much for your reply,
If I purchase a Sprint PTT CDMA can I activate it on Boost? The same w/Android PTT can it be activated on Boost? Also could current PTT numbers be retained?

It has been said that Sprint phones can be activated on Boost Mobile, but I'm not sure about the legality of it. I would recommend going with Sprint or using a Push to Talk application. You can also wait to see if a Push to Talk phone comes to Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile used to promote that feature a lot, so I'm thinking they will probably come out with more Push to Talk enabled devices on the CDMA network.
