How can i activate a nextel motorola i1 on the boost network?

I found a nextel motorola i1 and i wanted to get boost service, but how do i go about doing this? The person who owned it before me had a boost sim card in it, do i just need to buy a new sim or can i use the same one? I don't know how this works.

Boost Mobile isn't allowing iDEN phones such as that to be activated on their service anymore. You must purchase a new CDMA phone.
