I would go with Chevy for the dorvette and i'd rather get a Dodge Ram SRT-10 if i needed a pick-upso in this topic a say chevy screw ford

I wouldn't want either but if it had to be one or the other, it would definitely be a Ford.

Fords are more masculine and the quality is definitely much better than G.M. products.

Chevy. And here is why:

If you have a chevy, car or truck, that is a 305 or 350, has a carb, and has no valve/warp issues, you can fix it in a flash. Nearly all of the old chevy motors have interchangeable parts. If it works on one, it will work on another, as long as it's not tuned port or fuel injected. Plus they are easy to work on. I can change the alternator on a 350 in about 15 mins, given that I've got the replacement in hand. And I'm a GIRL.
