Driver's Ed should be required. It ain't the 1950's anymore.
Here's a sad story..Niece graduates HS, turns 18 the next day, and the day following that, moves across the country with her best friend. Within a wekk, the girls find themselves at a party..yes drinking was involved. Sometime after midnight, a couple of boys decided to make a run to the convenience store. In that they were driving a small p/u, only room for one of the girls to ride along. Niece stayed behind. A couple hours later the police showed up at the party...one vehicle accident involving a tree-- 3 fatalities. Harsh way to learn a Life 101 lesson.
