Neon Lighting/Interior Lighting Laws

Alright... I have some extra cash, and I've been planning to do a few interior upgrades to my truck. One of the things I am planning to do is add interior lighting (via neon or LED tubes), two of which would be mounted under either side of my dash.

The other two tubes will be mounted under my rear seat.

My question is: is it legal to have these light on while driving in the state of Pennsylvania? I've heard many different opinions, but cannot get a straight answer. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I mounted the tubes, one under my rear bench, and the other between the passenger and driver console sections. Unfortunately, a passenger kicked the tube in the front and broke it

All I have left for now is my rear tube, but oh well... does anyone know about the laws though?

as long as you can't see the light from outside the car you should be fine. I had something similar under my dash in my other car for years.

i was actually pulled over for having my under carriage lighting on. apparently it's distraction to other drives. i had the girlfriend drive my car while i tailed her. and it actually was kind of painful to stare at while driving.
