Perfect phone?

It is one of the better ones that I have had and I have been using cell phones since the mid '80s. The only one that I like more is the old Nokia 6100.
May main problems have been mentioned in this thread. I would like to connect to a pc and a charger at the same time, the Nokia could. The other is slow a browser. I consider that secondary as my primary use is as a phone, secondary for texting. Photo e-mailing is next then browsing.

Re: Motorola Razr V3 Review Part 2

I agree, this phone kicks butt. It does make me mad sometimes though. It started developing this thing where it likes to turn off and on by itself when I pull it off the charger. I have to remove the battery every-time I finish with the recharge. This isn't a huge issue but at least it has a quick work-around.

And then there is the slow OS which bugs me when I'm changing wallpapers or trying to look through pictures on my phone. But this phone has been by my side for almost two years and I honestly haven't had any major issues with it. There hasn't been one day where it didn't work.

I'm still looking around for the next phone for me, I want to find it now so when mine finally dies I will be ok and know how much and where to pick it up. There sure aren't many choices that I like though, to be honest. I think I may even go with the newest version of the Razr that is out at the time of my Razr's death, whenever that will be.

But yeah, that Razr I have reviewed, not once, but twice! Is still going strong!

The best feature for me on this phone is the restrict calls festure. It allows for me to block every number that is not in my address book and they will go straight to voicemail. This allows me to keep those annoying 800 calls from bothering me.

So, last time I gave the phone a pretty good round, what with it's moddablity, games, video support, ease of use and such...

Well, now I have had the phone for more than a few months, and I am ready to tell you exactly what I think of it.

The Motorola Razr is the best phone I have ever used (I did a few phones during this time, so...) It is like Mac says "It Just Works". I mean, it's got a super long battery life, I have had it running good for a week without a recharge, and it's still says full (I turn it off at night, which greatly helps it's life, why have it on when you don't need it???).

Using the phone with the PC involves some work, but works well. Modding it is very easy, and putting games on it is a challenge, but once you have done one game, you have done them all. I like this feature, becuase I buy these games and having to erase everything off my phone sucks, cuz I have to buy those games again, well not anymore becuase I can hve them backed up to my pc, and get them with ease. Using the Razr with a mac is so easy. I don't know about games tho, but simply dragging and dropping files to the Razr is the hardest part, and that is wayy easy. It connects through bluetooth, so file transfers are kinda laggy, but hey, I deal.

The phone's reception is terrific on my T-Mobile network. Although internet browsing on it can be very very slow, and not worth 6 bucks a month, you can surf the net nonetheless. The volume on this phone is great too, unlike the previous phone I had, as discussed in my first review of this phone.

The phone is said to be very "breakable" in a sense. Well, it's thin, what do you expect. Well, I have sat on it a few times, and I can tell you, you will notice ur sitting on it before it breaks (although I'm not very heavy, so I dunno) And I have (I know, this makes me sound like a total loser) I have lost my phone. I had it in my pocket for easy access (half sticking out) And I guess it fell out in front of our door. So when I wanted to make a call, I couldn't find it, so I picked up my phone and dialed my cells number, then I hear my ring, walking down the hallway, lol. My grandma picked it up outside on the front doorstep. It has a few scratches, but not too bad (And that darned little piece of dust is still in the middle of the freakin' screen is driving me freakin insane, it's just there, people tell me not to look at it, but it doesn't help cuz I know that it's still there) But the phone survived the fall, and being in over 100 degree temps for almost a half an hour sitting in the sun on my doorstep. So yes, the phone is pretty durable.

So, over my overall use, this phone has served me very well, and if it every dies, I will get another one. So I give this phone a freakin 9.899. Why???

Cuz, it's a

RAZR, nuff said.

i hate the razr

Re: Motorola Razr V3 Review Part 2

My Razr V3 worked fine for a couple of years then suddenly died. No warning. Would not power up. I pulled the battery for a few hours and tried again. Still no luck. Finally I moved the sim chip to my wife's razr in order to keep going at work. A few days later, I picked up my old phone and pressed the power button. It came right up and has worked fine for several days. Any explanation?

Re: Motorola Razr V3 Review Part 2

Well here is an update for you guys here at the CellPhoneForums. After almost exactly two years of using my Razr, it finally died. I dropped it while in a video store and the battery got shifted around and the positive and negative terminals came into contact. Killed the phone instantly.

This was just in time for my upgrade so it wasn't so bad.

I didn't get another Razr, I liked mine but it had some issues that came up over its life. The OS was so slow, it took forever to load up anything. The dust under the screen made it difficult to see and it was impossible to see in the day light.
The battery life was decent so I got a newer battery in March, that helped but not for too long.

I have gotten a Blackberry Curve 8320 to replace the Razr. I'm going into management positions and I need something to keep me organized. So far I am loving it, but I still do miss my Razr.
