3555 inherits most of its 6555 Design Elements. I think it looks quite attractive and it fits well in my hand. The 3555 is roughly the same size as the 6555 (3.92 inches by 1.75 inches by 0.81 inches) and weighs roughly the same (3.32 ounces), too. The hinge just felt a little loose, and it looks a little cheap but overall i think its cool.

Yet, there are some differences between the 3555 and its predecessor. Unlike the 6555, which came in various shades, the only color the 3555 comes in is royal blue. In addition, the 3555 has a unique design on its front and back. You do not see it until the phone is open, but at this point, you should note that the stripes on the front and back come together to form a long strip. Another important difference lies in the interior and exterior display, but unfortunately this is not a good change. While 6555 was 262000-color external display, the 3555 is the monochrome display. It still shows all the information on the status important, but it does not support picture caller ID and it will not work as a viewfinder of the camera.

The display's internal in the 3555 is also a step down. Although she also supports 262000 colors is a bit smaller (1.8 inches) that the display of 6555, and it has a lower resolution (128x160 pixels). Unfortunately, the change is more than notable, graphics and photographs were blocks and the colors were washed away. At the upturn, the menu system is easy to understand, but the animated icons are not very accurate. You can not change the brightness, but you can change the font size and color.

The 3555 has a 1000 telephone contacts with the place for five phone numbers, e-mail address, a Web site, a company name, a job title, a name, a nickname, a street name, a birthday, and notes. You can also make contacts with a picture together, but keep in mind that the image does not appear on the external display.

Other things include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, an alarm clock, calendar, a task list, a notepad, a calculator, timer, a world clock and a stopwatch. You will also find Stereo Bluetooth and a MP3 player.

When i tested the phone for what it really is, "a phone" it worked very well. I heard the conversations clear. On their end, callers said i sounded good, but some of my friends mentioned a little wind noise in the background even though where was almost no wind.

The 3555 has a battery rated at five hours in conversation and 10 days of standby. That's about average, as mobile phones go, but it is much better than 6555. Overall i thought the phone was cool but it lacks a little bit when it comes to quality. I cannot give you a really good reason why you should buy this phone but i can give you several reasons why you should not.

    Regards Satyrion

    Re: Nokia 3555 Review

this phone is crap! I have the t mobile version, and my girlfriend has the att version. Battery life is awful on both(1-2 days MAX!), she talks and texts alot more than I do, so i should have alot more standby, but I don't. And now my phone, that is less than a month old, turns itself off when i close the flip! It's a real disappointment compared to the quality of their old candy bar phones and the 6103 i just replaced it with!

    Re: Nokia 3555 Review

I bought this phone after being told that it was "exceptional", I should've waited until there were enough reviews online to realize that it is a huge heap of crap.

I've replaced the battery 3 times and had it repaired once (the '6' stopped working). I've only had it since April 16th. It's flimsy, it creaks when it opens and the keys are made of cheap plastic, so they stop working all the time. Definitely not worth the money that I paid for it.
