Samsung Ace SPH-i325 Review

Samsung Ace is similar in design to the original Samsung BlackJack, and yet there are subtle differences. At 4.6 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.4 inches deep and 3.9 ounces, Ace is heavier and larger but thinner than the blackjack. Its thinness makes the smartphone comfortable to hold and use as a phone, and you will be able to slip into a pant pocket. In addition, it has a soft-touch finish for a better grip when using it as a messaging device.

On the front, there is a 2.3-inch screen, which is slightly smaller than the BlackJack II and the BlackBerry 8830, but it still has 65000-color and resolution 320x240 pixels so its very good. Below, you will find a spacious and beautifully designed navigation table with good keys, Talk and End buttons, a shortcut to the Today screen, a back button, and a four waterways alternate with center select button. The full keyboard is slightly improved compared to that of two BlackJacks.

Samsung Ace comes packed with an AC adapter, a SIM card, a wired stereo headphones, a USB cable, a software CD, and reference material. With other words he accessories here are pretty standard.

Some phone features on the Samsung Ace include a speakerphone, voice dialing, conference call, dialing and text and multimedia messages. The phone is only limited by the available memory in each room with private entrance for more phone numbers, e-mail addresses, work and home, job title, and more. For identification of the caller, you can assign a photo to a contact.

The Ace is also equipped with Bluetooth 2.0, enabling wireless connectivity with Bluetooth mono and stereo headsets and hands-free kits. You can also use the Samsung Ace as a wireless modem for your laptop with a dial-up networking capabilities.

Samsung Ace is a Windows Mobile 6, running the Standard Edition, with the full Microsoft Office Suite Mobile and Windows Live integration. The smartphone also comes with Microsoft Direct Push Technology for real-time e-mail delivery and automatic synchronization with your Outlook calendar, tasks and contacts via Exchange Server.

Finally, the Samsung Ace has a camera with 1.3 megapixels video recording capabilities. For still images, you have a choice of five shooting modes, three sizes and three quality parameters. There is no flash, but you can adjust the white balance and to add different effects. In video mode, you have two choices on the size and the same white balance and the effect of options that are available in camera mode.

The image quality was very decent. The objects have been clearly defined and the color was not perfect, but it is certainly better than other camera phones that i tested.

Overall i liked this phone and it feels solid and personally i like it. The Samsung Ace for Sprint offers dual-mode functionality for world-roaming, and it's unlocked for use with international SIM cards. The Windows Mobile smartphone has a compact design and features a 1.3-megapixel camera, EV-DO, and Bluetooth. The camera also showed me some impressive photos when we look at the fact that the cam is only on 1,3 MP.
