Sony Ericcson Xperia 2 brief review

After receiving the phone yesterday my first impression was quite positive, the design is very sleek and it has a nice feel in my palm.

When I turned it on and started playing around with it, immediately the lag started to frustrate me, this along with the unresponsive touch screen and confusing operating system was disappointing.

This review is brief but I will outline a few positives and negatives with the phone:

For:
-cool design
-very clear screen/ bright
-'the panel system'- specifically, one of the panels is an actual city of pixel characters in 3D
-great responsive keyboard
- camera is ok- even though its 8.1mp, the video quality average. Photos are good though.
- the games are fun, very similar to the games on the iphone.
- windows 6.5 is very practical for business (although slow to respond on touch screen)
- wi-fi
-apps/ widgets

against:
- poor battery life ( lasts a day with wi-fi/ data switched off)
- slow to respond, figity interface
- price

have only been playing around with it for a day, but for the price no matter what your needs are your better sticking with apple's iphone.

As far as high range phones go I rate the Xperia 7/10. (so far)
