UTStarcom, which snapped up Audiovox’s cellphone
division about a year ago, has just announced their first 3G handset, the WCDMA/GSM/GPRS-enabled GW200. Except for
the part about it having WCDMA/UMTS, there isn’t all that much to get hyped up about, since as far as features go, the
GW200 has a 1.8-inch, 65,000 color LCD screen, MP3 player software, and well, not much else (there’s nary a mention of
Bluetooth or a digital camera to be found).
