You’d think that Nextel would have been all over Bluetooth for years now, given that so many of their customers are
business types who’d be the people most likely to dig being able to sync their phone with their computer or use a
Bluetooth wireless headset, but somehow they never got around to releasing a handset with Bluetooth until today. It’s
probably not the sweetness you’ve been craving, at least if you’ve been looking for a new cellphone that looks like it
was designed this century, but the Motorola i605 also has GPS and a 176 x 220 pixel
LCD screen in addition to being
Bluetooth-enabled. Retails for $299.99 with new service agreement.
UPDATE: Someone pointed out that Nextel carries the
BlackBerry 7250, which also has Bluetooth. Whether the
7250 is a cellphone or not is a really matter of nomenclature.
