Well, ho ho ho Nokia fans. Silicon Republic is saying that the
Nokia N91 musicphone is now expected to hit their fair
island this side of Santa. The
3G (
CDMA) N91 with internal 4GB disk, 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi and Symbian 9.1 was
originally to be released before Christmas anyway, but was
delayed so that Nokia could incorporate Microsoft’s PlaysForSure DRM support. Now, we’re not sure if this means
that the Nokia’s self-imposed Q1 2006 shipping delay is off for the rest of world, but it’s certainly not like Vodafone
to release product into Ireland first.
[Via Symplification, Thanks Alex]
Update: looks like Silicon Republic edited their story — it’s the N70 that’ll be out before Christmas, and
they’re stating the N91 is still due for March 2006. Getting our hopes up like that? Tisk tisk. Thanks, wolwol.
