Hi,
I think that because the delay of the phone marketing, SE will have more competition in this market.
True - the new features will be usefull for corporate users, but gadgets fans will turn to other phones - many of them just can't wait another 3 months for a new toy.
In addition, i think the phone have a design problem:
The web browser will work on landscape mode, but the keyboard is still portrait... how can some 1 type when browsing the net? turn the phone, write and turn it again?
the i-Mate with the keyboard (K-JAM i think) give a better solution for this in my oppinion.
I wounder if the new features are only software updates to the existing package and if so, SE could have market the phone and offer online upgrade to the software package.
In addition, the P990 have (info so far) 80+64 memory - this is not seem to stand with a phone who can be full office and entertainment device. Most
PDA phones are arriving with 128+64 memory, 40 more then the P990.
To realy make this phone woth it's price (about 1000$ according to rummors) and it's functions (mainly push mail client) they realy need to boost up the memory.
True, SE tries to profit more from selling memory sticks but they have to give more to people that waited so long for this excellent device.
Another issue is the wireless network. The phone supports 802.11b while ther are phones who support 802.11b/g.
And yet another issue

The phone will support UMTS only. SE stated that in this phone, speed is essential issue but untill it will be marketed, few phones will support
HSDPA making the P990 a bit slow.
To sum things up, I think P990 will have some nice alternatives (HTC Hermes) on the market when it will be marketed.
