I saw on the news the other day, that the Registry is only good for 3 or 5 years and that you have to re-register after your time expires.
Why don't they just make it permanent?

That may be true, but I was on the list, started getting calls last month,
re- registered, and the calls stopped. Plus its a .gov website.

The Feds were thinking about making the DNC list permant, just heard that on national news late last week. It does not hurt to register every so often just to be sure.
