Headsets: Yes or No

I personally dislike cell phone headsets. It worries me that people have to be that constantly connected. I mean, really? You can't keep that phone away from your face long enough to check out at the grocery store? You have to be connected while waiting for the bus, or driving your car, or waiting in line? Post your thoughts.

No headsets for me. When I talk on the phone, I actually hold my phone to my head.

It is illegal not to use them where I live when you are driving. A $100 ticket without one, and yes they really do ticket people, I have friends who have been pulled over. Personally I think headsets are equally as distratcting as holding the phone to your ear. You still have to look down and take an hand off the wheel to dial.

I'm lovin' my bluetooth (wireless) headset... my naturally big hair hides it and folks assume I'm the nutty blonde lady talking to herself at the stoplights ... the voice recognition software on my Motorola makes it so I only have to touch the headset then command "Call" "Mom"... another touch to the ear disconnects the call.

I also do most of my driving in upstate NY where talking on the handset is illegal while driving... for the record? I can play games legally, just not talk

I see it useful only if you do a lot of driving or are a business type of person on the go all the time. Basically if people need to get a hold of you all the time and you can't stop to wait and open your cell phone each time. I would think the majority of people who buy it won't fully use it.

im not a big fan of the bluetooth headsets because i have no hair to hide it and it gets annoying having something on my ear all day. i don't mind the regular headsets for walking around listening to mp3's.

Yes for Mp3's; yes for driving, yes for looking as if you are stark raving mad

I like both my bluetooth and wired headsets. It's not that I want to be connected all the time, there are just times, like driving and hiking, that it's easier and better to not have the phone in your hand. if I'm at home I normally use the bluetooth headset, because in my bed room the phone gets poor reception on the wall where my computer desk is, so I put the phone in it's charger and set it by the window and I'm good to go.

When I'm at work I just pick up the phone or put it on speaker. And so far I have yet to have a dropped call using the BT, but for some reason, when in a car (as a passenger), holding the phone in my grubby paws up to my big head, causes dropped calls on the same stretches of road that using BT is just fine.

Well I use both a H700 Bluetooth and the wired. I use the Bluetooth when I'm at work and for driving, and I use my wired one to listen to my Mp3's.
