#9 | | Member | Chinese characters do make good tattoos, in my opinion, but definitely get someone to translate and write them in calligraphy. It looks much better than the standard print characters (which is what most people do). It would be like getting some english words tattooed in Times Roman font, which does the job, but could look much cooler. For example, I got the character for water inked and had a friend, who is a translator, do the calligraphy for me. Here's the print and calligraphy character for comparison. | | |

My friend did two full pages of the character, which ended up being 80 versions of the character. The first half were basically practice and the rest were her good ones and she and I agreed one was the best of the lot. | | | |
